Copyright (c) 2026 CURIOUS WORM. All rights reserved.

This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal agreement between you
("you" or "the user") and CURIOUS WORM ("we", "us") for the PICPIO software,
including its extension, command-line tool, bundled libraries, and any updates
(together, "PICPIO").

1. ACCEPTANCE
By installing, copying, or using PICPIO, you agree to be bound by this
Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use PICPIO.

2. LICENSE GRANT
PICPIO is licensed, not sold. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive,
non-transferable, revocable license to install and use PICPIO for developing,
simulating, and flashing firmware to Microchip PIC microcontrollers. PICPIO is
   provided free of charge.

3. RESTRICTIONS
   You may NOT:
     (a) redistribute, resell, rent, sublicense, or republish PICPIO or any part
         of it;
     (b) decompile, reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to extract its
source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by
         applicable law;
     (c) remove, obscure, or alter any branding, copyright, trademark, or
         attribution notices;
     (d) use PICPIO for any unlawful purpose.

4. OWNERSHIP
PICPIO and all intellectual property rights in it are and remain owned by
CURIOUS WORM. This Agreement grants you no rights other than the limited
   license expressly set out above.

5. THIRD-PARTY COMPONENTS
Some bundled libraries include portions derived from third-party open-source
software (e.g. Bosch Sensortec and Adafruit, under BSD licenses). Those
portions remain under their own licenses; see THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.

6. MICROCHIP TOOLS
PICPIO automates Microchip's MPLAB(R) XC compilers and MPLAB X tools, which you
obtain and install separately and which remain subject to their own licenses
from Microchip Technology Inc. PICPIO is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or
endorsed by Microchip Technology Inc. "PIC", "MPLAB", and "PICkit" are
   trademarks of Microchip Technology Inc.

7. SIGN-IN AND DATA
PICPIO requires you to sign in with Google. Information collected at sign-in is
handled as described in our Privacy Policy at https://picpio.in/privacy.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
PICPIO IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY,
FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CURIOUS WORM shall not be liable for
any damage to hardware, loss of data, lost profits, or any indirect,
incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or relating to
your use of PICPIO, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. TERM AND TERMINATION
This Agreement is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically,
without notice, if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must stop
using PICPIO and remove all copies. Sections 3, 4, 8, 9, and 11 survive
    termination.

11. GOVERNING LAW
This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, without regard to its
conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in India shall have exclusive
jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it.

12. CHANGES
We may update PICPIO and this Agreement from time to time. Continued use of
PICPIO after an updated Agreement is made available constitutes acceptance of
    the updated terms.
